Outcome
A distinctive launch identity for Everyman’s 36th cinema, creating a bold first impression for a high-profile new venue in Borough.
The Brief
Borough is one of London’s most recognisable and well-loved neighbourhoods, attracting both tourists and locals. The brief was to introduce the new cinema with confidence - creating an identity that felt rooted in its surroundings while remaining unmistakably Everyman.
The Idea
The creative direction was shaped by the neighbourhood itself. Located near Tate Modern and housed within striking industrial arches, the venue lent itself to a visual language that blended art, architecture, film, and food. The concept brought together pop-art references, cinematic imagery, and patterns drawn from Everyman interiors, all unified through illustration to create a celebratory, location-specific identity.
The Work
Developed the identity across a wide range of assets, including: Digital launch assets and social content, animated end cards, wristbands, tote bags, stickers, tickets, menus, and hoarding. Ensured the system was flexible enough to scale across physical and digital environments.
The Impact
The launch identity helped position Everyman Borough as a cultural destination from day one. By grounding the design in the character of the neighbourhood and extending it across every guest touchpoint, the opening felt celebratory, site-specific, and memorable — reinforcing Everyman’s reputation for thoughtfully designed, community-led venues.
