Results:
A fully bespoke induction book now given to every Everyman employee nationwide, with thousands of copies printed across multiple editions. The book has become a core onboarding tool - helping new starters feel confident, informed, and part of the brand from day one. Its success has led to ongoing updates and a third edition.​​​​​​​
The Brief
HR needed a practical, well-designed induction book that explained the day-to-day realities of working in cinema and hospitality, while helping new starters quickly understand the culture and standards of the Everyman brand.​​​​​​​
The Work
I designed and art-directed an 80-page editorial publication, built to be scribbled in, folded, and carried on shift. Content includes interactive sections, checklists, prompts, diagrams, brand language, BBFC guidance, kitchen systems, progression pathways, and a glossary of internal jargon. A hidden fold-out illustrated map reveals all Everyman locations, turning practical information into a moment of discovery.
The Impact
Printed in the thousands and issued to every new team member, the book is now a cornerstone of Everyman’s onboarding experience. Its continued use and repeat editions reflect both its practicality and the care put into making brand values tangible, not just readable.
