Overview
Client: Stylo G × Busta Rhymes
Role: Art Direction, Visual Development
Year: 2021
Scope: Single artwork, visual identity, motion-ready design

Outcome
A bold, surrealist artwork that visually captured the track’s energy, reflected the artists’ personas, and provided a strong foundation for digital release, including animated social and streaming content.
The Brief
Stylo G and Busta Rhymes were releasing the single Outta Space, a high-energy track that needed artwork matching its otherworldly sound. The challenge was to create a distinctive visual identity that was simultaneously surreal, layered, and grounded enough to support animation across digital platforms.
The Idea
The concept centred on photographic collage, blending disparate elements into a cohesive, surreal world that felt heightened yet believable. The design had to convey Outta Space’s larger-than-life energy while remaining true to both artists’ personalities. The visual system was intentionally crafted to be motion-ready, ensuring it could translate seamlessly across animated assets for streaming and social promotion.
The Work
I led the visual development from initial exploration to final layered artwork: Created exploratory mood boards to define aesthetic direction, developed a photographic collage style, unifying elements through perspective, tone, and lighting. I curated imagery to balance the surreal energy of the track with grounded visual coherence, designed the artwork with future animation in mind, enhancing motion potential across digital platforms. Collaborated with the team to ensure final assets were consistent, polished, and adaptable for release
The Impact
The artwork supported the digital release of Outta Space, visually amplifying the track’s bold, larger-than-life energy. The official YouTube visualiser has accrued over 140,000 views, and the track has reached hundreds of thousands of listens on Spotify, demonstrating meaningful audience engagement.
