The Brief
Everyman Soundtracking is the brand’s flagship Q&A series with high-profile directors and cast. For a special screening of Severance, the challenge was to create an immersive event identity that extended the show’s world into the physical space - elevating the format beyond a traditional cinema Q&A.
The Idea
The creative direction leaned into Severance’s unsettling retro-futurist aesthetic, treating the venue as an extension of the show’s universe. The goal was full narrative immersion - where every touchpoint reinforced tone, tension, and satire.
This marked the first time motion design was introduced into the Soundtracking stage environment, transforming the experience from static to fully sensory.
The Work
I developed a complete event identity, including: Bespoke animated holding slides, immersive venue graphics, menus and printed collateral, social and digital assets.
Every detail was considered as part of the world-building - from simple compositions and a minimal colour palettes to menu copy echoing the show’s corporate satire, with items such as Macro Sustenance and Refined Refreshments.
The Impact
The project set a new creative benchmark for Everyman Soundtracking. The work was approved by Apple TV in both the UK and US, shown to the full cast, and personally signed off by Ben Stiller. More broadly, it demonstrated the venue’s ability to deliver deeply immersive, narrative-led events - strengthening relationships with major studios and positioning Everyman at the forefront of experiential cinema.
