As part of Everyman Soundtracking - our flagship Q&A series with high-profile directors and cast - I crafted the full visual identity for a special screening of Severance. Taking cues from the show’s unsettling retro-futurist aesthetic, I directed and delivered a comprehensive suite of assets, including bespoke animated holding slides, immersive venue graphics, menus, and social reels. The animated slides were a bold first for the brand - introducing motion design to the stage environment and transforming the static Q&A format into a fully sensory, narrative-driven experience. Every design decision was rooted in world-building: from stark, sterile compositions and icy color palettes, to menu copy that echoed the show’s corporate satire with items like “Macro Sustenance” and “Refined Refreshments.” The creative direction paid off. The campaign was signed off by both Apple TV UK and US, shown to the full cast - including Adam Scott - and personally approved by Ben Stiller. The project not only raised the bar for what these events could look and feel like, but also demonstrated how design can push narrative deeper into the physical and emotional experience of a space.
